These doors and windows are made from high quality injection moulded white styrene.   If you would like them to have a different appearance they can be painted easily using ordinary hobby paints . (We recommend starting with a matt undercoat first to ensure the best coverage and top coat finish .)

Although many people seem to prefer wood, the quality, strength, detail and accuracy of these windows could not be achieved using wood.  It is worth considering also that in most cases the the finished dolls house windows and doors will be painted anyway so there is no real advantage to using wooden conponents.
