Poly-Form Granules
100g bag

£3.95

An Incredible New Generation Polymer that Melts in Hot Water
Simply immerse the granules in hot water at approximately 62°C and wait a few moments (or heat with a hairdryer). The granules will become clear as they melt and they will combine to form a single solid mass. Note: The material is not water soluble, but is melted by the heat.

Warning: Do not over-heat the material as above 65°C it becomes a sticky substance similar to hot-melt glue (which is another of it's applications) and could present a serious burning / scalding hazard.

Easily Moulded by Hand
Once melted the plastic has a soft chewing gum like consistency and can easily be moulded by hand or pressed into a mould to form any shape required. It can also be rolled and pressed in a similar way to clay. It can also be formed around other items to produce a mould.

Hardens as it Cools - Very Strong like Nylon
As the plastic cools it becomes hard and its colour changes from clear to a white hazy colour.
The material is very strong and lightweight like nylon and can therefore be used in a variety of applications.

Re-Usable
Simply re-heat the plastic to melt it and re-shape over and over again.

100's of Practical and Fun Uses
Possible uses include: Making your own plastic parts for craft applications, models, moulds etc.., DIY applications, prototypes and repairs such as making replacements for broken switches, handles and brackets etc.., or just use for creative fun! ....the possibilities are endless..

A 100g bag of Poly-Form Mouldable Plastic will make approximately 100 cubic centimeters of plastic. For example a single piece measuring 25 cm x 2cm x 2 cm.

Instructions and Photos

Poly-Form Granules

Put some of the granules into hot water at 62°C approx. The granules become clear as they melt.

The melted granules easily combine into a solid mass and can be removed from the hot water. Take care as the hot water / plastic could cause burns

Squeeze the plastic in your hand to remove any trapped water and then shape as required

The plastic can be shaped by hand or using a mould. As it cools it will gradually harden and turn a white hazy colour. It can be re-melted in hot water if desired.

These pieces have just been shaped very roughly by hand. Once cooled the plastic is a tough light weight material with similar properties to nylon. It can be drilled, screwed, nailed, glued, painted etc. as required. It can also be melted again and re-shaped.

Note: This material can be melted in hot water at 62°C approx. or using heat from a hairdryer etc. The material is not water soluble.

Warning: Do not over-heat the material as above 65°C it becomes a sticky substance similar to hot-melt glue (which is another of it's applications) and could present a serious burning / scalding hazard.

This material is non-hazardous and bio-degradable.
