3D Printable design file (.stl) for a Fire Grate with Glowing Fire. The file will be available for digital download immediately after purchase.
The design is based on an authentic wrought iron design. It measures(WxDxH): 40mm x 18mm x 36mm, but this can be scaled up or down in your slicer to the size required.
The file includes options to print the grate in one piece which requires supports or in two pieces which can be printed without supports and glued together. These parts print well on their backs.
The design includes both coal and wood fire options which can be printed using translucent red material and the coals & logs painted. This allows a flickering LED bulb to be inserted creating a glowing flickering fire effect. Alternatively, black material can be used for a non glowing coal effect.
The design is suitable for printing on most FDM (Filament) or SLA (Resin) 3D printers. We recommend printing parts in the orientation provided. We print this design on a Bambu 3D printer using standard PLA filament with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.16 (or variable) layer height and this reliably produces good quality results.
Parts can be assembled using superglue or similar adhesive.
The purchaser will require a suitable 3D printer and materials and will need basic 3D printer and slicer knowledge.
